NO ENTRY

I'm sure we have all been here, happily flying along enjoying the sights when suddenly "Bam!" You are randomly stopped dead in your tracks by a partially invisible sign that clearly states "No Entry" over and over and over again. Most people use these signs for security of their land, but I honestly must think that some people just do it to piss others off. There are other options to security. Honestly I have never ever had to resort to one of these "No Entry" signs. They are extremely restricting and do the job well, but they really are an eye sore and a shock to those who are just Happily passing by. I've noticed that while searching for land to buy these "No Entry" signs are always a huge negative. Personally, when I see these signs the first thing I see is "No" so I quickly run the other way. Just like searching for land in real life, we want the best views, wide open, clutter free, and advertising free areas to live. I urge sim owners to ban these signs and urge land buyers to pick a alternative form of security. This is one Random thing that makes me want to scream rather then laugh. Even though it is rare even random things can be irritating :p Stop The Irritating Randomness!!

Aunt Kala!!

Yup! I'm an Aunt! RL: 10/11/07 @ 4am my first baby nephew was born! 8 lbs 6 ounces and as healthy as can be! Yay! I am so happy for my brother and his wife, what a wonderful creation! What a great feeling to be an Aunt, and what a spoiled boy my nephew is already :p I got to hold him for the first time the night of his birth about 16 hours after he was born and "wow!" I can't get enough of him! *smiles for miles*

So much of my time for the next week will be occupied by my sweet lil' nephew, as I need to get as much time in with him as possible before my trip to Australia for 6 weeks. Then I will be back right in time for Christmas :)

Relax!!!

I have noticed lately that quite a bit of people on second life seem to be in such a rush... always running around trying to make deadlines, creating and putting up with drama, even shopping just isn't fast enough for us. Could this be because our real lives are like this? Perhapsibly we have adapted to this "rush" paced life, that it is even being carried into our second lives in game. This post is simply to say "Relax!" This is our Second Life after all. There is so much drama here and even though its a game it can be stressful. Real Life gives us enuf stress! Right? This game is our get away time, our time to Vaca, this place can be super relaxing. Teleport to your favorite spot and take a break from all the craziness. Turn on some music, listen to fire, rain, or even the ocean. Be Random by wearing a swimsuit to a business meeting or by wearing PJ's to a fancy club, or even bring your "rubber ducky" to go hang out with your friends, do whatever helps you relax when you must go face the crowds. The possibilities are endless here, be creative and enjoy.

*Velvet* Manor

While taking a quick look through the Nightlife Entertainment events for the night, I ran into an event that Club Velvet Manor was holding. They do makeovers for Newbies, complete with a makeover salon and freebies. After your all done getting a makeover you can go get your first professional photo done, then head to the Velvet Manor Club to show off your new look. The Velvet Manor staff is very helpful in case you need help as well so that you will feel less lost in the large world of Second Life.

Its great to see more advanced Second Life players helping the not so advanced Newbies. We need to *care* about our newbies cuz they are the future of Second Life.
